Description

1/2" x 4' x 8' Sound-Dampening Fiberboard

Upgrade your space with our 1/2" Soundboard, the professional-grade solution for reducing noise transfer and improving acoustics. Designed specifically for wall, ceiling, and floor assemblies, these 4' x 8' panels provide an effective thermal and acoustic barrier for both residential and commercial projects.

Made from high-density, recycled wood fibers, this soundboard is lightweight, easy to handle, and serves as an excellent substrate for drywall or underlayment for flooring.

Key Features

Superior Sound Control: Significantly reduces Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings by absorbing vibrations between rooms.

Eco-Friendly Material: Composed of sustainable, organic wood fibers—breathable and environmentally conscious.

Versatile Application: Perfect for home theaters, recording studios, bedrooms, or home offices where privacy is a priority.

Easy Installation: Standard 4' x 8' dimensions ensure compatibility with common framing; can be cut easily with a standard utility knife or saw.

Thermal Insulation: Provides an added layer of R-value to help maintain consistent room temperatures.

Installation Tip

For maximum noise reduction, use this soundboard in a "sandwich" application. Install the soundboard directly to the studs, then apply your finish layer of gypsum board (drywall) over the top. Using acoustic sealant around the perimeter will further prevent "sound leaks."
