S4S Mangaris Red Mahogany: The Gold Standard for Hardwood Decking

Elevate your outdoor living space with the unparalleled beauty and strength of Mangaris Red Mahogany. Known for its rich, deep-red hues and fine-grained texture, Mangaris provides the luxurious look of interior mahogany furniture with the "rock-hard" durability required for the most demanding exterior environments.

Our Mangaris boards are S4S (Surfaced on 4 Sides), meaning they arrive pre-milled, smooth, and square-edged, saving you hours of labor and ensuring a professional finish from the moment they are delivered.

Why Choose Mangaris Red?

Exotic Aesthetic: Naturally displays a consistent deep auburn and reddish-brown palette with a subtle ribbon-stripe grain.

Extreme Durability: Rated for a 20+ year lifespan, this wood is naturally resistant to rot, decay, and wood-boring insects.

Kiln-Dried for Stability: Unlike many tropical hardwoods that are air-dried, Mangaris is kiln-dried to a 10–12% moisture content, minimizing shrinking, checking, and warping after installation.

High-Traffic Toughness: With a Janka hardness rating nearly double that of traditional Mahogany, it resists scratches from patio furniture, pets, and heavy foot traffic.

Low Maintenance: Can be oiled to maintain its vibrant red luster or left untreated to weather into a sophisticated silvery-gray patina.

Installation & Care Pro-Tips

Fastening: Due to its extreme density, pre-drilling is required. Use high-quality stainless steel screws to prevent "bleeding" or staining around fastener holes.

Sealing: We recommend applying a high-quality UV-inhibiting hardwood oil (like Ipe Oil or Penofin) immediately after installation to lock in the moisture and preserve the rich red color.

End Sealing: Apply a clear wax end-sealer to any fresh cross-cuts to prevent end-checking.
