The Keene Hamshaw Lumber is my go-to hardware store. The staff in each department are knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate the cleanliness of the store and how it is laid out and organized. I’m always in and out when I need something. I can find what i need here 95% of the time. While they are a tad pricey, I would rather support a small business vs. a big box store. If you sign up to be a rewards member (it’s free, it takes 2 seconds), I believe they more than make up that difference with the significant coupons they send you. Plus, their lumber is always better quality than HD… this place is always my 1st choice.

Hamshaw lumber always has what you need. The very rare occasions when they do not have what you need, they will order it for you. Hamshaw lumber has a great knife sharpening machine that is quite affordable. You can get keys made there as well. They also have a great rental service for all kinds of things. They rent tables, they rent chairs, they rent bounce houses, and many more items. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Stay away from HD and stick with Hamshaw Lumber.

Recently bought a premier DR 25-ton wood splitter from Hamshaw Outdoor Power and I am very impressed! They went over the options and compared it to other brands on the market. Before I ran it, they reccomended specs for oil.

My father was a contractor in the Keene area and used Hampshaw his entire career. As I have been doing remodeling to a property, I have purchased a lot of materials from Hampshaw lumber and used their rental center. They give great service.

Every time I go to Hamshaw Lumber Ace a hardware, I always find what I’m looking for, and it’s so convenient . The staff is on top of helping you before you can ask, always pleasant no matter if it’s first thing Monday morning or last thing Friday night always ready to help you get what you need to finish your project in a timely manner best thing if they don’t have it and if you really want and need it they will help you get it in a reasonable timely manner. They have a wonderful inventory with flyers and very helpful service personnel. As the old saying goes, you never know until you ask, you might be surprised.
